The plane tree of Ayia Mavri is one of the most important giant tree of Cyprus. From the distant past. It provided a reference and relaxation point for travelers and visitors of Ayia Mavri. The plane tree is a deciduous tree with an open crown and leaves. The tree was declared as a protected species in 2004 and is maintained by the Department of Forests.
